1969 Alfa Romeo Boat Tail Spider - Unfinished Project Car in North Tarrytown, New York

This is a US model (105.62 Series) Alfa Rome Spider Veloce manufactured 10/69 in Italy.

The original 1750 engine, which has 78,564 miles, turns freely by hand or with power applied to the starter.
Seven years ago, the cars was stripped to a bare shell and all paint and undercoating removed to undergo a professional metal restoration to the underside, rockers, jacking points, and lower body panels.
The doors, hood and trunk lid were removed to prep the car for paint in a high-tech spray boot. First-class Glasurit products were used.
The result is a truly rust free, structurally sound car with a show quality paint.
Only the underside was left in epoxy primer because I wanted to use POR-15 there.
This car has been stored under a good cover in a dry, heated garage ever since it got back from the body shop. There is no bubbling, peeling or cracking in the paint to attest that the work done is of high quality.
The dash assembly, bumpers, grill, most exterior lights, and door handles have been installed. The cars was also given new front spring pans and differential limiting straps. The front A-arms, rear trailing arms and drive shafts were media blasted, painted and rebuilt. The heater box metal pieces, headlight buckets, and soft top frame were also media blasted and painted.
However, the car needs mechanical, hydraulic, and suspension work along with a new soft top, upholstery and carpeting. As such, it may be ideal for those interested in a project that does not require any welding, body work and painting.
I am including a new windshield made in England and a rubber gasket that need to be installed.
Please note that this car will be sold with a certification of sale because NY State does not issue titles for 1972 and earlier vehicles.
